The new bike folds down to a package not much bigger than the wheel diameter, and it is over a pound lighter then the first one, at 7.8 lbs.
Last year I wrote about a bike ordered from English Cycles LLC – a footbike, of which the builder had no knowledge, and had to re-invent, as it were. The happy customer has returned with a new charge:
This year the project was revisited with a twist – could I build a folding version? And could it be lighter than the original?
The resulting scooter looks mighty purty … love the twin wheels – but I’m holding out for dropout extensions – or a frame – that would let me build a 2x29er.
