Small-wheeled scooters, albeit convenient, remain almost as hard a sell as footbikes, having made little market penetration apart from nerds.

Kickboard USA, who market a full line of small-wheelers, would seem to be the beneficiary (and maybe the source) of this latest ‘press release’ concerning the “eco-friendly convenience” of kick scooters:

Gliding through the streets to your destination is just more fun than walking, hands down. Sure, there are skateboards, bikes, and rollerblades that will satisfy your nearby commute fun, but kick scooters just take the cake when it comes to convenience. It doesn’t really matter if you’re a teen or an adult, kick scooters make traveling more enjoyable.

Still, any promotion of two-wheeled kicking transportation can only be benficial for us, who constititute a niche-within-a-niche.
