Karl T. Ulrich, designer of the Xootr, is giving a course at the University of Pennsylvania on Design: Creation of Artifacts in Society.

The course marries theory and practice, as both are valuable in improving design performance. Lectures and readings will lay out the fundamental concepts that underpin design as a human activity.

Of course, when you combine that level of jargon with perhaps the simplest of vehicles, you might come up with something a little over-designed. Cf. this.

(Are we going to have another life-choice option here, like Rolling Stones vs. Beatles, cats vs. dogs, emacs vs. viXootr vs. KickPed? I know which side I’m on.)
