An easy-to-make scooter for the third world

Martin Bolton is an industrial designer in Johannesburg, who is working on his Masters in Industrial Design with a project for the the development of a low-cost water filter for use within rural households of the Vhembe region of South Africa.
One of his recent projects was designing a simple wooden toy/transit item for children. He came up with this elegant solution.
